1996 4Runner

4Runner on a road trip With seating for up to 5 occupants and the ability to carry a ton of gear (mountain bikes, snowboards etc.), 3rd gen. 4Runner is the perfect platform to build the ultimate outdoor lifestyle excursion vehicle. It can be used as a mobile base-camp, capable trail machine and reliable transportation.

A high-end stereo and plenty of creature comforts make this 4Runner a comfortable highway cruiser, and we’re just beginning the modifications that will make it more fun off-road. So far the truck has custom front and rear bumpers, rock sliders and skid-plates, along with 2.5” Light Racing coil-overs and 305/70/17 Maxxis Bighorn MT tires. The wheelwells have been trimmed to let the big meats stuff while keeping the ride height low for stability. In order to help turn the larger diameter tires, 4.88:1 gears have been installed in both differentials and to increase traction in sticky situations, an ARB air locker was also installed in the rear differential. A TRD supercharger has been bolted onto the 3.4L V6 bumping the power output to approximately 265HP.
