Troy Johnson Fabrication has recently finished the rollcage and the rear suspension. The stock interior is being reinstalled right now and we're making plans to start on the front-end next. We can't wait until this thing is done so we can feature Johnson's 4130 TIG-welded masterpiece in Four Wheeler magazine.

We installed a set of 35x12.5" BFG Mud Terrains on 17x8" OMF Bead-locked Alcoa wheels. They clear on full compression AND lock-to-lock steering. An in-depth tech article is scheduled to publish with Off-Road.Com within the next few months. We'll include downloadable templates that we used to provide clearance at the firewall and inner fenders.

We used Deaver's 8-leaf bolt-in Tacoma spring-pack and 2.5x12 Racerunner shocks, mounted under the bed, to cycle 13" of vertical wheel travel. We're writing an article for Off-Road Magazine with Kevin Blumer right now, explaining how to cycle your suspension to find the ideal shock location and check for body/fender clearance.

3rd Gen. Toyota 4Runner Coil-Over Straight-Axle Conversion

We're finalizing plans right now to get busy on our 96 4Runner. Work is scheduled to begin in early July. Off Road Solutions will be adapting a straight-axle to the front end using coil-overs and a parallel 3-link with a panhard bar and cross-over steering. We're planning on using a custom extended-width Toyota axle housing from Diamond Axles, filled with a full compliment of high-end components.
